How buying works

Buying sealed Riftbound TCG UK product from NIGHT RIP follows five stages, and none of them are hidden: order, reservation, dispatch, delivery, and — if you ever need it — returns. Here's exactly what happens at each one.

1. Order

Placing your order starts the moment you add a booster pack, display, Champion Deck or any other sealed product to your basket. You can review quantities and remove items freely right up until you enter checkout — nothing is held or committed at this stage, so browsing and comparing sets costs you nothing.

2. Stock reservation

The stock reservation is where NIGHT RIP differs from a lot of smaller sealed-product sellers: the instant you begin the payment step of checkout, the exact stock you're buying is locked to you for 30 minutes, with a visible countdown on screen the whole time. This exists so two customers can never both "buy" the last booster display of a set — once it's reserved for you, nobody else can take it while your countdown runs. If you don't finish paying inside that window, the hold expires automatically and the stock goes back on the shelf for the next buyer; you're free to simply start again. Crucially, you can also cancel the reservation yourself at any point before it expires, simply by leaving checkout — nothing charges you unless payment actually completes.

3. Dispatch

Dispatch happens the same working day for every order placed before our 2pm cutoff — after that, it goes out the next working day. We don't batch orders or wait for a "full truck"; stock that's paid for gets packed and handed to the courier on the same schedule regardless of order size.

4. Delivery

Delivery is flat-rate tracked UK shipping, currently £2.50, and free automatically once your order totals £50 or more — that discount applies at checkout with no code needed. Once dispatched, you'll get tracking so you know exactly when to expect the parcel rather than guessing.

5. Returns — and self-cancelling before dispatch

Returns only apply to unopened, factory-sealed product, within 30 days of delivery — because pack contents are random by design, an opened pack, display or deck can't be resold as new, so accepting opened returns would mean charging everyone else for another shopper's gamble. If your order hasn't dispatched yet and you've simply changed your mind, you don't need a returns process at all: your account page lets you cancel it yourself, instantly, for as long as it's still shown as cancellable.
